Extra Depth Bamboo Steamer w/ Adaptor Ring

We got this Happi Studio bamboo steamer because our old one was falling apart. I love that this comes with detailed instructions on how to prepare the basket before first use and how to keep it clean for future use, and what not to do to it. It comes with an adapter ring so you can put it on different shaped pots if you do no have a wok. It also comes with two cotton liners which is nice to keep your food from sticking to the basket (we have been using parchment paper). The height of the basket allows for steaming full sized buns. The basket is well made. So fun to use over a wok! My favorite things to steam are frozen scallops and shrimp on the board and veggies on top!

I picked these up after finding Mìlà Soup Dumplings at Costco and then realized I didn’t have a steamer. Rather than using one of those metal basket steamers, I figured I’d go for these.11/10 would do again. I followed the steamer directions and the soup dumplings directions and served them with some ponzu and sriracha mixed together. SOLID.Oh! I forgot that they came with reusable liners or whatever. I did not use them yet, but they are cloth and I’ll give them a shot sometime soon.No difference from the top steamer vs bottom in terms of flavor or being cooked through.I’ll be doing more things with these - veggies, anything frozen, etc.

Unfortunately the bamboo splintered in one of them ( see photos) , I ask for a replacement, otherwise it’s a great steamer.Paula

I like the size of the product, the material are really good.It keeps the steam well, which allows it to cook quickly.

I am very satisfied with the quality of this steamer, it is tall enough so the buns were not soddened by condensed water vapour on top. Customer service responded quickly and friendly, and gave me a great shopping experience. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I was asking on a social media page for Cantonese cooking, the pros and cons of using the same seasoned wok for both cooking and steaming. I was once told using the same wok for steaming reduces the built up non-stick properties and requires re-seasoning the wok each time. Not for me.There was a suggestion to try one of these steaming rings which eliminates using the same wok, buying a separate wok or other cooking vessel to use for steaming with either bamboo or stainless steel steaming trays.This steaming ring arrived undamaged and inside a clear plastic bag. The dreaded blue plastic glued to the ring has been changed thankfully.This sturdily built ring is easy to wash and use. I placed the ring over a small stockpot I use and placed several 10" stainless steel dim sum steaming trays on it. The ring held the weight without sagging. It has a ridge to prevent steaming condensation from dripping on your stovetop.This ring allows me use a smaller diameter pot to steam with rather than using a 10" or 14" wok can take up some space on your cooktop.I am very satisfied with this brand of steaming ring. Great price for a ring that seems sturdier than others made if aluminium being sold.

I have been hesitant about getting a set of bamboo steamer because I was worried that it wouldn’t fit with our existing pots. After seeing this little helper, I finally went ahead and got a set. Used it for the first time and it worked so well! Love the unique texture of steamed dumplings - so much better than cooking in boiling water. Now I can enjoy buns and maybe fish filet steamed too!

This is a great product as a smart design result, and I believe that it suits my needs perfectly though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet (received today, and please see the photos attached) and measure its function effectiveness. I want to vote it in 5 stars but one star off is just about its esthetical defectiveness - there are several unpleasant coating defective spots on the product I received (see the photo attached). Anyhow, that won't affect its performance supposed to be. The product itself is built in a type of light-weighted metal sheet but doesn't seem to be "fragile" and subject to easy twistedness. Nevertheless if the material has a little metal weight and strength added, it would be a really perfect product for me!

The instruction came with the ring says to soak in hot water for 15min and the film can be easily removed. The biggest problem is to find a container that's big enough to fit the ring. But eventually found one, and I wasn't sure how hot the water should be, so i just heat it up to 120F (maybe it doesn't even need to be that hot), and 15minutes later it's already partially peeled, rest are just matter of lightly pull and all came off cleanly, even the pieces inside the groove.I imagine if you don't have container that can fit it, you can partially submerge half ring for 15min, the later submerge the other half.

I was apprehensive after I read the reviews about the blue film & sturdiness of the ring only to find out the opposite was true for me. The blue film on the ring everyone is talking about took maybe 10 sec. to peel off.... I mean, some sound like they kept it on & complained of it melting! Lol, the blue film is to protect from scratching. Also, it's sturdy. It's an awesome ring & it's worth buying & it's not expensive at all like a few said. It's great & I'm so glad I bought it. Buy it, enjoy & be happy. Oh, & take off the blue film.... 10 sec. remember? Wash & use. Easy 🙂

Works and looks as described. However it arrives with blue film on one side and is an absolute pain in the butt to remove this. See pic.

I really loved this set. The whole house smells amazing when ever we steam with the basket. The metal ring made it so easy to use with almost all of the pots and pans I have at home. However I am a lil diasappointed that this happened after just 4 months of use. I've followed the product instructions when using and washing. I am not sure if this is just a fluke and if it'll affect my steamings later. If it does, it'll be a pricey replacement for only 4 months of use.

First time I used my 10" bamboo steamer, a lot of water leaked onto the glass top and left burn marks. It was annoying to clean off & didn't have another pot to use, so decided to get a steamer ring.This ring is crafted well and has retained its shape after multiple use and cleans really easily; without any harsh chemicals. While steaming, all the water vapers caught on the basket are caught on the ring...no worries, great function & value. It's easy to use, saves from purchasing bigger pot & takes up less real estate in the cabinet.

I received the steamer today, very new, I can smell the unique aroma of bamboo. Yes, it’s exactly what I expected, even more than my expectation. Hope it will last longer than others that I purchased before. It’s a good price for the whole set:)

Does the job except it has been deteriorating after only 3 uses. It's wooden frame has already completely come apart and there are tons of large wooden splinters sticking out. It is still usable and does the job, but it has not been holding up well.
